1969

First order received for 5kVA, 11/0.250 kV Single Phase transformer from Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board (now Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited)

1970

Regular production commences of pole and pad mounted transformers of different ratings up to 1000 kVA, 11/0.433 kV.

1973

Technical Associates Transformers Limited registered as a company incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 1956.

Production commences at a new manufacturing facility at Ismailganj, Lucknow for Power & Distribution Transformers.

1974

A sister concern – Sri Ram Industries set up to manufacture Transmission Line Towers. These were designed, tested, fabricated, and galvanized for 132 kV Transmission Lines. Microwave towers up to a height of 100 Mtrs. supplied for Microwave link connecting east UP to west UP.

1979

TATL sets up the first Distribution transformer manufacturing plant in the state of Punjab in District Sangrur.

1991

TATL gets ISO 9000 certification for assembly of transformers and processing of raw materials including core laminations, slitting and cutting, conductor drawing, paper covering, transformer oil base stock processing, tank fabrication and insulation.

2001

TATL becomes a regular manufacturer of 40.0 MVA, 132 kV power transformers.

2006

TATL manufacturing activities certified for compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards by BSI, UK.

Turnkey Power Projects division set up for executing Transmission & Distribution EPC projects.

2007

TATL commences execution of several projects for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Erection and Commissioning of Switchyards for 33, 66 and 110 kV switchyards and Lines from 11 kV up to 132 kV all over the country.

Work commences on setting up a state of the art manufacturing plant in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand for manufacture of Extra High Voltage Power transformers up to 400 kV class.

2008

State of the art plant commissioned at Sitarganj (Uttarakhand). It will enlarge TATL’s transformer product portfolio to include EHV Transformers up to 400 kV; a quantum leap in manufacturing and technology.

2009

Second Transformer production unit at Sitarganj gets commissioned.

TATL commissions Vapour Phase Drying Plants and Impulse Generators (HAEFELY, Switzerland).

2010

Both plants of TATL certified for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standard.

2011

TATL delivers it’s first 100 MVA 220/132 kV Auto Transformer to APTRANSCO.

TATL executes it’s first export order for Power Transformers for ZESCO, Zambia.

TATL successfully type tested for 160 MVA, 220/132 kV voltage class Power Transformer by ERDA Vadodra.

2012

TATL executes export order for Power Transformers for Tokai Power Products Limited, Bangladesh.

TATL executes export order for Distribution Transformation for ABERME, Republic of Benin, West Africa.

TATL installed UP’s first 2 MWp Solar Photovoltaic Power plant in District Barabanki Inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

2013

TATL executes export order for Power & Distribution Transformers for Energie du Mali, Africa.

TATL received an approval from Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) for manufacturing and supply of Traction Power Transformers upto 30MVA, 220 KV Voltage class.

TATL received an approval from Power Grid corporation of India Limited for supply of 1 Ph. & 3 Ph. Transformers upto 66 KV Class.

TATL approved for repair of 400/220/132 KV Power Transformers by Power Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). 2013: TATL Sitarganj unit approved by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) & NTPC.

2014

TATL manufactures and supplies 160 MVA 220 KV Auto Transformer to RRVPNL

2015

TATL gets BIS approval for supply of Distribution Transformers as per IS1180:2014-Part-1 for Sitarganj Plant. 2016: TATL Sitarganj unit approved by Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Limited, Mumbai (MSETCL) for supply of transformers upto 400KV Class rating.

2016

TATL manufactures and supplies 3 Nos. 160 MVA 220/132/11 kV Transformers to Monte Carlo, Gujarat

2018

ATL Sitarganj unit approved by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Bangalore (KPTCL) upto 160 MVA, 220 KV class rating.

TATL manufactures and supplies 2 Nos. 100 MVA 220/33/11 kV Transformers to Delhi Transco Limited (DTL).

2020

TATL manufactures 160 MVA, 220/132 KV voltage class Power Transformer and successfully Impulse tested by ERDA Vadodra.

TATL bags 2 Nos. 160 MVA, 220/132/11 KV Transformer from RRVPNL.

TATL manufactures and supplies 2 Nos.100 MVA 220/66/11 Kv Transformers to Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Bangalore (KPTCL).

TATL Sitarganj unit approved by Jharkhand Urja Sanchar Nigam Limited, Ranchi for supply of 132& 220 KV class ratings.

2022

7 Nos. Short Circuit tests cleared in 1 year:

  • 2×12.5MVA + 2×20 MVA
  • 1×63 MVA, 1×40 MVA
  • 1x100MVA, 220/132/11 kV

Test Lab Lab approved upto 500 MVA, 400 KV class, by NABL

2023

Got approval from Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) and Surat Metro

Got approval from PGCIL for site and factory repair of 400 kV Power Transformer

Got approval from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC)

Got approval from PGCIL- a leading transmission Utility in India for manufacturing transformers upto 220 kV ratings and also repair & refurbishment of transformers upto 400 kV.

2024

First Order of 500 MVA, 400 KV received from UPPTCL- a leading transmission Utility in North India.

Exports of HV and EHV Power Transformers to Togo, Uganda, Nepal, Tanzania, and Swaziland vide reputed EPC’s.

2025

Technical Associates Limited rebranded as Technical Associates Transformers Ltd. with a bold new identity.

Successfully executed the first overseas transformer commissioning, marking the company’s entry into international project execution.

Strategic decision taken to establish a new manufacturing facility to expand production capacity and support future growth.

Received the first European order, marking the beginning of the company’s entry into the European market.
